Kennedy and Kaitlyn

22So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. 23Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. 24Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, 25not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

Okay, here are the assembly pictures. The first crib was completed and then, for the life of me, we could NOT get that thing into the bedroom. So, I had to take it apart and put it back together. I built the second one IN the room. (Much easier!)

Getting Ready Pictures

So here we are with crib number 1 out of the box and all over the floor. Keep in mind that my lovely wife suggested we "build" in the nursery. "Nah," I said...."Let's put it together in the living room, listen to music, and have fun!"

(It seemed like a good idea at the time)

What a Father we have.

Isaiah 43
1The LORD created Jacob and formed Israel. Now, this is what the LORD says:
Do not be afraid, because I have reclaimed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
2 When you go through the sea, I am with you.
When you go through rivers, they will not sweep you away.
When you walk through fire, you will not be burned,
and the flames will not harm you.
3 I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

One More Thing...

Standout verse:
Psalm 62:8
“Trust Him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

"Trust in Him at all times" – not just when it seems like there is a good chance things will work out for us or when the odds seem to be in our favor. The Word says AT ALL TIMES - even when the verdict is still out.

Faith is believing and trusting in God’s power, His promises and His provision no matter what the circumstances are (or what they appear to be). As Christians, we are called to this kind of faith.

So many times, especially in the “Christian scene” we hear people throw around the “have faith” card. It’s become a cool little sentiment, a positive phrase, that we pull out when appropriate – “I‘m not sure about this, but I’m just havin’ faith”, or “we just gotta be faithful through this”. How many times do we find ourselves saying faith-filled things but in reality we are filled with anxiety, fear and hopelessness? How can we be a people that truly stand in faith, trusting the Lord at all times?

The first step is getting to know the One we claim to be putting our faith in. If we don’t know much about the Lord or have been content in the past to place our faith in second-hand knowledge of Him (from our pastor, great Biblically based books and materials, Christian music/television) the chances of us standing on our faith when things get tough are slim. It’s only when we know the Lord because of our own first-hand, personal pursuit of Him that our faith, knowledge and understanding begins to grow. Then as challenges and unknown circumstances come up (and they will!) we will begin to stand on the substance of what we KNOW. They say “knowledge is power” and that can be directly applied to this. The countless stories we read in the Bible about the power, strength and faithfulness of God aren’t just for our entertainment, their purpose is that we would learn about who God is, His character and His love and faithfulness to His people. He has been perfectly steadfast throughout the ages and remains steadfast today.

As we dive into the Bible and read it with hearts that truly desire to know God, walk in the path He has planned for our lives and hear what He is saying to us individually, we will see our faith begin grow, deepen and mature. That’s a promise!

(Taken from Phil Joel's Deliberate people site) I just had to post it. My thoughts exactly!

HUGE UPDATE!

Do not stop praying or praising. Praise God for today's visit! Here is the gist after a 2 + hour visit.
Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome--- not likely but not totally ruled out.
Chromosomal Abnormalities of the worse kind---- less than 2% chance.
Three weeks ago, difference of weight in babies was -----24.5% (not good)
Today the difference in weight was----17% (much better but not our of the woods yet.)
BOTH babies have normal anatomys. Organs, bones, etc are great.
(In 85% if chromosomal abnormalities, there is a problem with anatomy.)

Pray for more weight gain in Kaitlyn.
Pray for good health in both.
Praise God for a wonderful doctor and her team! They were phenomenal with us.
Praise God for a more positive visit today.
Praise God that we don't have to "plan for only one baby" as one doctor says.

Thanks to all of you that read this, that pray for us, that are there for us. At the same time, we encourage everyone to not give up praying. We are not out of the woods yet. Our next visit is in 3 weeks. April 11. We are praying that we will see another "catch up" in growth with Kaitlyn. If there is not one, then....well, we will cross that bridge when we come to it. We thank GOd for all of you. We thank God for the body of Christ. How do people get on with out Him?

Today was good, but emotionally draining. It was like every second was full of suspense. But, I felt GOd with us. I know He is and I know He is going to keep blowing us away. God is so good, faithful and strong. TOday it was evident how gentle he is with us. wow!

In His love.

9 More Days

In nine more days, we will have our next appnt. This time with a great high risk doctor that goes to our church. We have heard awesome things about her. But at the same time, we recognize that God is the Great Physician. He is our healer.

I just returned from the senior trip (skiing in Colorado) which was absolutely incredible! Hesitant at first but so thankful to have been a part. So many of the group prayed for Lindsay and the babies daily. I prayed for Lindsay and the babies to be taken care of and prayed that I could clear my head. God answered all of them. Today we still have two babies that are growing and moving around in their mommy's little (but getting bigger) belly. :)

Waiting has been a challenge. This whole ordeal has been a challenge. God is faithful. He is carrying us through. Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. Continue to lift Kenndy and Kaitlyn up in prayer. Pray for us as we wait nine more days for more information. After this next visit we will have more information to compare the babies with last month's ultrasound.
We love you all,
Tony and Lindsay

Friday's Visit With Our OB

No new news.
We have a new High Risk Doctor (a Christian), which we will meet with on March 20. We will have another big ultrasound with measurements, etc. We will know something then about what is going on.

This was a GREAT Visit today. Let me tell you why:
First of all the bad news: The doctor says for us to plan on having one baby. He feels that we are going to lose one. He seems to like to stick with this story. Possible problems: TTTS or chromosome problems.

Why was this such a great visit?
* our nurse came in and laid her hands on Lindsay's belly and prayed for the girls specifically.
* when checking out, the lab technician called Lindsay over and put her hands on her belly and prayed for total healing and strong babies in the name of Jesus.

* We told the doctor that we trust him and thanks for the info, but we are praying for something different. We are praying for two healthy babies. He said he would too. He leaves tomorrow to go on a mission trip.

You see why it was a great visit? Look who God put in our path. Christians. Christians who are living all out for God.

Pray with us. Two healthy babies. And praise and thank God with us for having both babies with us today.
Because His grace is sufficient for us,
Tony and Lindsay

Summary of the Past Few Weeks

First of all God is good. He has blessed us with two wonderful gifts. Two precious girls, Kennedy and Kaitlyn.
Lindsay spent 4 months sick. Lots of nausea and the like. But now she is doing great. In fact the entire pregnancy has gone great! No problems, no complications, etc.

But on our 18th week visit to the high risk doctor, we were told differently. Apparently one is a bit smaller than the other. All we know right now is that the doctors have told us twice to plan on having one baby. We have been told that there are two possible problems. One being TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome) and the other maybe being a chromosomal abnormality.

Yes, that is what we are told. That is all we know. BUT we know something different. We know that God is in control. God already knows the outcome. He loves us so much we will never fully understand it. We know that God is greater than any man. He can use whatever he wants for his glory.

We ask you all for prayers. We thank you for your prayers. We have heard from soooo many who are praying and we know that is the only way we are getting through this time of uncertainty right now.

As of tonight, we have two babies. Kennedy and Kaitlyn are very active and we feel them and they respond to my voice. We are on our knees for them. We also are praying for God to do what is best for our family. Obviously He knows a lot more and he has plans not to harm us, but to bless us. He is always faithful with His love and His promises. He has been with both of us our entire lives and has never let me down. Thank you for walking this journey with us. The body of Christ! What an awesome family!

Friday, March 3 we have another doctor appnt. So, we will keep you posted.
