Identical Twins?!?!
I don't think many people understand what it is like to go into these High Risk Doctors visits. It is one big guessing game and emotional rollercoaster. Bear with me as I try to paint the picture. We get called from the waiting room to the ultrasound (US) room. Linds lies on the table and they put the gunk on her for the US. Then the techie starts taking measurements of all parts of the babies. This goes on for at least half an hour, posing to be a very uncomfortable feat for the wifey. Lying on her back doesn't last long as it is hard to breathe. She ends up laying on her side for more pictures. The babies, on this visit, are bigger, more crowded, and moving around a lot. It was hard to get good pictures because they are all over each other. We finally got Kennedy's picture (face) but only through the legs of Kaitlyn. It was a funny site. Then the doctor comes in, enters all the measurements into the computer.
During this time, we sit and wait as we hear the whispering of information as it is being typed into the machine. Everything always seems so great until that blasted computer puts out its numbers. THen all of the statistics, percentages, large vocab words are all hurled out leaving us with lots of questions and confused. I like to understand everything but I still need to double check by asking for a repeat in English. All of the looking, wondering, listening, analyzing, takes a toll on you after a while. No complaints....it is just tiring. So...we are tired this evening.
SO.....let's praise God for today's report. God answered exactly what we prayed for. We prayed for Kennedy to slow it down and Kaitlyn to grow more. And it happened. God is so good.
Last time: Kennedy was 2 lbs.
Kaitlyn was 1.5 lbs.
Today: Kennedy 2.5 lbs.
Kaitlyn 2.2 lbs.
They are about even! How great is that? We are so excited! God is good. So, after all of that we went away with some great news. As you can see, things change a LOT each US that we have. But Praise God that we know there is no abnormalities, no Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, no need to induce labor, and Lindsay's health is great.
What a great report!
OH! And by the way.....now they think they are identical. Go figure.

That is wonderful! I'm so happy to see that they are growing as they should! And to think... IDENTICAL TWINS! Get that nail polish ready... one will always have a big toe painted red so you know who is who! ha ha
I'm praying that you continue to have a healthy pregnancy, and the twins will continue growing at the same pace; also, a prayer that you hit that critical 36 week mark that we all like to see.
Love you guys!

wowsers! that is quite a tale tonester. i actually felt like i was in the room with you the way you described it. kyri and i are so happy that the twins are becoming more equal in size. looks like sibling rivalry is already starting to rear its head.
thank you for keeping us all updated on your blog. God is so good!
